01 - A Summer Dinner Dinner event [2020] A seasonal pop up 3 course dinner inspired by world cuisines, for foodies in Amsterdam. Over the lock down in March, like a lot of us, I found myself in reoccurring kitchen marathons, meal planning for my family and entering the world of fermentation. After experimenting with foods and developing my cooking skills, I wanted to take this hobby outside of the kitchen and start cooking for others. The evenings consisted of a 3 course Middle Eastern inspired vegetarian dinner, and involved a basic flat bread making workshop. Aware of the Beirut explosion at the time, 10% of the ticket prices went towards aid for those affected, in order to not only help those in need, but bring the dinner closer to home. Menu design, concept and lead cooking done by myself, alongside the help of sous chefs Lydia Barba and Phoebe Pryor. Photographs by April Cyan.
