Precious Plastic

Precious Plastic build online and offline tools to boost local plastic recycling for people around the world. One of the ways they do this is by releasing open-source, small-scale recycling machines. I worked with Hungarian architect Adrienne Vers to curate their biggest offline exhibition yet. It took place in the centre of Eindhoven, home to the project and  its global team. The exhibition took place in different forms. Ongoing research projects that tackled environmentasl issues such as fashion waste and biodegradable materials, were exhibited in 3m x 3m 'research cubes'. Each cube showcased research, experiments and discoveries. Visitors were shown processes, outcomes and failures, giving an honest representation of each project. The recycling machines were in the centre of the warehouse, in mock-up workspaces to show how they work in context. Viewers could navigate through  a shredder, injection, extruder and sheet press workshop.
