02 - Precious Plastic Exhibition Art Direction & exhibition design, with Adrienne Vers [2019] Precious Plastic build online and offline tools to boost local plastic recycling for people all around the world. One of the ways they do this is by releasing open-source, small scale recycling machines. I was asked to conceptualise, art direct and curate their biggest offline exhibition yet all inside a warehouse in the centre of Eindhoven, home to the project and its global team. The exhibition took place in different forms. For ongoing research projects that tackled environmental issues such as fashion waste and biodegradable materials, they were exhibited in 'research cubes'. Standing 3m tall, each cube showcased research, experiments and discoveries. Visitors could literally step into the project and learn all about that certain topic. The recycling machines were placed in the centre of the space, with mock up workspaces to show how they work in context. Viewers could navigate themselves through a shredder, injection, extruder and sheet press workshop. The products designed using these machines surrounded the machines too. were placed around the outside. For the article > For more information >
